It’s been 1045 days since we as a nation last been to the polls to create a mandate for the governing party the ‘Conservatives’ to receive their 80 seat landslide majority above the 326 needed to form a government. Much has changed between 2019 and 2022. From the change of Labour leader to Keir Starmer after the failure of Corbyn to win people over with a democratic socialist left wing agenda that failed in 2017 to give him then a mandate to form a government. It was in 2019 his parties worst defeat since the 1930s, how embarrassing, from the man who ‘won the argument’ whatever that means’ to now a leader that has banished Corbyn out of the Labour parliamentary group and is an independent MP with peril of losing his seat in an up and coming election. Here’s hoping!

The next election could be an exodus of losing the grand figures who are retiring like Magaret Beckett, Mike Penning and Charles Walker whilst figures like Jeremy Corbyn (fmr. Labour MP/Independent) as with Claudia Webbe, Christina Rees and Dr. Rupa Huq too could be in peril of losing their seats. Former or current Prime Minister Boris Johnson to Rees Mogg and Therese Villers to Therese Coffey. It could really be a new parliament and a moment to start again from a years of turmoil, instability and chaos thats with a party with a landslide majority.

It’s unthinkable that this government would come so unelectable, so soon in one term. The Johnson project is a dead failure

The Next election however could see a parliament according to on 7th of October in the weeks copy of the New Statesman via State of The Nation with a Labour party majority, Conservatives a woeful defeat of 190 losing 175 seats, SNP gaining five seats, Liberal Democrats doubling to 22 seats in the commons, Plaid Cymru gaining one and Green Party holding on to their only seat in Brighton and Hove. The latest predicts a shrinkage of 41 MPs remaining for the Tory Party and 509 MPs for Labour the biggest landslide predicted in modern history to 23 MPs for Lib Dems and gain up of 5 for the SNP. The red wall resurrected and death of the Tory party predicted as nigh.

To the staunch remainer in 2019 this may be your cocooned bubble away from the reality of the state of party politics, what thought was credible dream. People you might’ve hoped saw they were led astray and mis-sold brexit and want a refund away from this Brexit nationalism but the result then showed the electorate didn’t want to cash in a re-fund it was the Liberal Democrats demise of the short tenure of Jo Swinson carrying the baton of her pre-decessor Vince Cable to say ‘Bollocks to Brexit’. Who’d thought that something or somethings would pile on so quick that aren’t spelled out being brexit related but that of bad governing. For twelve years the conservatives have been the leading party in government. But, somehow it’s one woman to see the safe hands swing to the public wanting to hand the keys of government to Keir and the Labour Party. How the remainers pleading that theres no mandate for the brexit Boris Johnson claimed he’d ‘Get Brexit Done’ with now theres a mandate for a vote to get a general election and spell the end to twelve years of conservative power. Its says a lot when the government is a carousel of chaos, defeat, desperation and conflict and is governing in name only.

The nation is pleading for change, it pleads for a general election, even the audience of BBC’s Question Time is pleading for it. Like the new anti-cost of living left wing workers rights movement associated with the labour left and RMT union ‘Enough Is Enough!’ calls ‘Enough Is Enough!’. By now I want the conservatives to be as relevant as the UKIP Party I want the leader of the Conservative Party to not be a leader of the opposition so relevant they are scrapping for a crumb of airtime and resorted to calling their mates at GB News and Talk TV to ‘straight talk’ in the gutter of the right with Reform Party’s Richard Tice and Reclaim Party’s Laurence Fox and have as much hope as Gina Miller’s True & Fair Party. To have a question on the quiz show as Greg James, Jordan North or Roman Kemp host The Pointless Chase show in 2030 and the question is who is the leader of the Conservative & Unionist Party and the contestant says ‘fuck knows’ and the presenter bats an eye-lid and confused why asked when not even the super intelligent question computer machine doesn’t even know the answer, that relevant.

I’ll say this must be toast and toast of our current political system. We must see things getting better not seeing our nation sink deeper and deeper on the world stage that once sitting at the table to almost at the point where barely getting recognition and sitting on the fold-out chair too muted afraid of being laughed at cause this government turned the nation who made the world laugh, makes the world laugh at us as a laughing stock. we can make the world laugh but not as an clown thats know from embarrassing ourself.

I do wonder what this governs on its run its road and being pleaded to being let go and needs a break its time we break up with the tory party for something better. and realise they are the ‘Anti-Growth Coalition’ not us.
